Outgoing Pope Benedict will be known as "His Holiness Benedict XVI, Emeritus Pope," in his postpapal life, the Vatican announced Tuesday. In retirement, he will ditch his signature red shoes but continue to wear a white cassock, a literal illustration that two men will bear the papacy's trappings for the first time in modern history.
