An initiative that has transformed part of a Queens co-op into a set of smoke-free buildings has got some residents fuming. The Queens Smoke-Free Partnership, a health advocacy group funded in part through federal grants, helped implement a smoking ban at 200 units of the Hilltop Village co-ops in Hollis last week.
