It was supposed to be a lot better. It could have been much worse. The Yankees reached the All-Star break on Sunday night having won as many as they lost in the first 94 games of the season after falling 3-1 to Baltimore in a rain-shortened five-inning game before 34,483 at Camden Yards. The record was expected to be much better after committing nearly half a billion dollars in the off-season to improving the roster.
