Public advocate candidate grilled over failure to vote Aug 26th 2013, 09:19, by MARA GAY The least-closely watched race in New York City turned fiery Sunday when the Democratic candidates for public advocate were asked about their failure to vote in some recent elections. City Council member Letitia James is the only candidate for public advocate who voted in all city elections in 2005 and 2009, moderator Michael Howard Saul of The Wall Street Journal said.
