Pete Vadola of Staten Island helped save scores of people after Hurricane Sandy ravaged his neighborhood. In a terrible twist of fate, his Midland Beach home was unscathed by the storm but destroyed by a fire last week. Pete Vadola rescued 200 people from Hurricane Sandy in a motorboat on Staten Island.
