A 33-year-old Michigan woman died Sunday night after a month-long battle with rare, flesh-eating bacteria. Crystal Spencer passed away at the Huron Valley Hospital in Commerce Township, Mich. just weeks after she was hospitalized with necrotizing fasciitis, a quickly-spreading infection that enters the body through an open wound and destroys body tissue.
