Taxpayers footing Silver's legal bills in harassment case Jun 30th 2013, 06:00, by KENNETH LOVETT, DAILY NEWS ALBANY BUREAU CHIEF ALBANY — State taxpayers will shell out $500 an hour for New York Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver's lawyers in the Vito Lopez sexual harassment case, the Daily News has learned.
