The tragic death of a 12-year-old Sunnyside boy last year has sparked new statewide hospital regulations about the largely unknown dangers of sepsis. Gov. Cuomo announced a package earlier this week of regulations that require all hospitals in New York to provide early identification and treatment of sepsis.
